Maxine Williams Wright enjoys many aspects of performing arts.  She’s a playwright, director, and author.  She provides opportunities to actors to use their talents, gain experience, and to have exposure.

Jonathan Goff - Director

Jonathan Goff - Jonathan Golf is a MAT-nominated local area director and an English & Drama Teacher at Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy.  He credits his youth experience at Christian Youth Theater (CYT) Richmond for fostering his passion for creating moving storytelling experiences for audiences.  Since moving here in 2016, Jonathan has had the privilege of collaborating with theater communities all around the metro-Atlanta area.  He is currently pursuing his MFA in Directing for the Stage.  

Stephen Blackmon - Writer/Director/ Producer

Stephen Blackmon - Stephen Blackmon is the founder and head of the ForkShop (Filmmaker’s Workshop), a budding film school and practicing collective of independent filmmakers. He is the Writer, Director, & Producer of High Stakes Game, an ensemble crime drama shot here in Atlanta. He has over 20 years of experience in marketing, media and film. He is the president of Consuming Fire Incorporated (CFI), a full service marketing, web design and publishing company handling everything from branding and print advertising to radio and television commercials. 

Stephen has a longstanding relationship with writing and released his own first novel, The Price of Paradise, in 2009. He has been editing video consistently since 2003.  

His consistent goal has been to help people start living their dreams, and to produce extraordinary media that ignites the imagination and inspires true creativity & personal development. 

Stephen holds an MBA in Media Management and has nearly completed his MFA in script and screenwriting. He lives in Greater Atlanta with his wife Iko, and two daughters.

Lisa Morel - Lead Talent Agent

Lisa Morel is the lead Talent Agent for the Selah Actors Talent Agency. With over 18 years in the industry she strives to bring unity throughout the Entertainment Industry by providing services to various productions of all sizes. Her roster clients have main cast credits from The Walking Dead, Black Panther, Atlanta, Stranger Things, and many others. Selah Actors is comprised of Actors, Models, and Film Crew professionals whom work together as one family unit, in order to provide quality entertainment to the world.

Marshall Lee Smith Jr. - Director/Producer/Actor

Marshall Lee Smith Junior is an accomplished theater actor, producer, director and choreographer. Originally from South Florida, he had journeyed through the South East region performing in many theaters and venues as a vocalist, actor & musician. He has recently founded Subtext Dinner Theater Company in Alpharetta bridging arts and culinary together. He is very excited to perform and showcase one of his many talents.

C. Nathaniel Brown Producer/Director/ Writer

C. Nathaniel Brown is an award-winning writer, publisher, filmmaker, writing coach and speaker. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Black Studies with a Writing Emphasis from Denison University, a certificate from Ohio University’s Journalism program. He then ventured off into a 20-plus year career as a newspaper and magazine reporter and an author of 14 books. He founded Expected End Entertainment LLC, which serves as the umbrella company for several of the services including writer coaching, book publishing, filmmaking and speaking. HE has produced nearly 40 short films and written dozens of screenplays ranging from 3-page shorts to features. He has won awards including ‘Best Screenplay’, ‘Best Feature Film’, ‘Best Short Film’ and ‘Best Director’ for his work. He made his feature film directorial debut with Chi Nu Legacy, which won several film festival awards, including Best Feature Film at the Peachtree Village International Film Festival. Several of his films can be seen on Amazon with several new projects soon to be released. Expected End Entertainment is also instrumental in exposing up-and-coming actors, writers, and filmmakers to the industry through its EX3 Academy. 

Melody Cookson Director

Melody Cookson is Managing Director of ACT1 Theater in Alpharetta. ACT1 Theater is an all-volunteer, non-Equity, no-participation fee theater presenting four high-quality mainstage shows to audiences in a 100-seat intimate setting. She has over 20 years of experience with the theater, having been involved with auditions, marketing, print collateral production and has previously served on the Board of Directors. Melody has served as a Stage Manager and Production Manager, and has directed five shows, including four major musicals – Insane with Power, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Once Upon A Mattress, Jesus Christ Superstar and Schoolhouse Rock Live!.  She has overseen the establishment of a partnership with the City of Alpharetta Department of Cultural Services and is directing the branching out of the theater into the larger Alpharetta Community.  Melody is a certified project manager (PMP) and brings those processes to her projects in corporate event planning, marketing, communications, and the Arts.
